  • Application

     

    Due to non-availability of high-quality water, the textile industry is compelled to relocate operations to areas where only hard water is accessible. This poses significant challenges as high levels of metal salts in both the processing water and natural fibers result in insoluble scum during the scouring, bleaching, and dyeing stages. The repercussions include contamination in the equipment, compromised whiteness, and noticeable color variance between the inner and outer fibers, particularly in processes such as cheese dyeing and color stripe formation.

    Nestoquest - SD is the most effective aid in preventing such problems and thus contributes to process improvement.

     

    1. CONTINUOUS PROCESS

     

    1.1 Pad-steam (Roller-bed steamer, J-Box and U-Box)

      1. Combined Scour-Bleach

    Caustic Soda flakes                        10-20 g/l

    Hydrogen Peroxide (50%)                40-60 ml/l

    Pick up : 120-140%

    Steam at 100oC for 10-20 mins followed by wash-off (95oC/95oC/80oC/50-70oC)
