CHELATOL - NA | Protective colloid type Sequestering Agent

• Product Information

  CHELATOL - NA is a multifunctional auxiliary developed as an efficient sequestering ,  dispersing (Protective colloid) and chelating agent for all stages in wet processing.

• Application

   

  The addition of Chelatol - NA to the processing liquor is contingent upon the hardness of the water used and the presence of metal impurities in the textile material to be processed. For optimal results, it is recommended to add 0.5 to 2 grams per liter (gpl) of Chelatol - NA at the commencement of the process. This dosage range ensures effective sequestering and chelating properties tailored to the specific characteristics of the water and textile materials involved.

  Combined Scour-Bleach:

  • Nestogen - RE: 2-4 g/l
  • Nescent – O2: 6-8 g/l
  • Chelatol - NA: 1-2 g/l
  • Caustic Soda flakes: 10-20 g/l
  • Hydrogen Peroxide (50%): 40-60 ml/l
  • Pick up: 120-140%
  • Process:
    • Steam at 100°C for 10-20 mins followed by wash-off (95°C/95°C/80°C/50-70°C)

  Scour Bleach - Knits and Coloured Goods (JET):

  • Nestogen - RE: 0.3-0.5%
  • Chelatol - NA: 0.5-1%
  • Nescent – O2: 0.4-0.7%
  • NaOH (100%): 1-2%
  • Hydrogen Peroxide (35%): 3-5%
  • M:L = 1:10:
  • Process:
    • 95°C for 40 mins; drain at 70°C - hot wash - cold wash

  Reactive Soaping (Washing Off) for Woven:

  • Chelatol - NA: 0.4-0.5% owf
  • Treat: @85-90°C for 30 – 40 mins

     • When incorporated into a bleaching bath, CHELATOL - NA serves as a preventive measure against the occurrence of pin-holes on cotton fabrics, contributing to a smoother and more even processing.
